AUGUSTA, MAINE — The Maine Legislature is considering a new bill that would require veterinarians to honor the prescriptions of others.

LD 177, introduced Jan. 26, states that licensed veterinarians should sell and dispense prescriptions written by another licensed veterinarian.
The bill has been referred to the Committee on Labor, Commerce, Research, and Economic Development.
