The article "Canine and feline demodicosis" in the August 2008 issue of Veterinary Medicine was well-written and contained timely information about a timely topic in veterinary medicine.
The article contained information regarding the use of ProMeris for dogs (metaflumizone, amitraz), a Fort Dodge Animal Health product. At the time the article was written, Fort Dodge had not yet received label approval for the use of ProMeris in dogs for control of demodectic mange. However, very recently the Environmental Protection Agency did approve ProMeris for this use.
