How to embed a video

Instructions for posting videos on your veterinary practice website.

Important note: Before you start, please identify whether the video player you want to embed is from a dvm360.com page or is from a dvm360 video on a YouTube.com page. (Look at the web address in your Internet browser to find out—does it say "dvm360.com" or "youtube.com"?)

INSTRUCTIONS FOR DVM360.COM VIDEO EMBEDS

Follow these instructions to embed a dvm360.com video onto your veterinary practice's website

(Note: If you'd like to customize the size of the video player, jump to the customization instructions below.)

  • View the Web page on dvm360.com that contains the video.

  • In the bottom right corner of the video box, hover your cursor over the up arrow (triangle) icon then click the options icon that appears.

  • An Embed box (noted by < >) will appear in the top right corner of the video box. Click inside the embed code box to select the text then copy the text.

  • Open your Web page file, identify where you want the video to appear, and paste the embed text in your HTML code.

  • Save and upload your revised page to your website.

How to customize the size of the dvm360.com video player

  • While viewing the video on dvm360.com, click on the YouTube logo at the bottom right corner of the video player. This will take you to the YouTube video page.

  • Beneath the bottom right corner of the video player, click the Share button, and then select Embed. Customization options will appear below.

  • Click a standard video-player size or type in custom dimensions to fit your Web page.

  • Click inside the embed code box to select the text. Next, copy the text.

  • Jump to step No. 4 in the above instructions for embedding a video onto your website.

Follow these instructions to embed a dvm360 YouTube video onto your veterinary practice's website

  • View the YouTube.com video from dvm360 that you want to embed. (Visit dvm360's client education video playlist on YouTube here.)

  • Beneath the bottom right corner of the video player, click the Share button, and then select Embed. Customization options will appear below.

  • Click a standard video-player size or type in custom dimensions to fit your Web page.

  • Click inside the embed code box to select the text. Next, copy the text.

  • Open your Web page file, identify where you want the video to appear, and paste the embed text in your HTML code.

  • Save and upload your revised page to your website.
