Further research needed in veterinary cannabis realm

During this dvm360® interview, Robert J. Silver, DVM, MS, shared that there should be more of a standardization among veterinary cannabis studies, plus he feels further research should focus on its efficacy for certain ailments including cancer.

Robert J. Silver, DVM, MS: I'd like to see some studies with [cannabinoids'] use in cancer, because it has the potential for huge benefits with cancer patients, not just in terms of helping with nausea, you know, or cancer side effects but also with reducing the growth of cancer cells, some cannabinoids have that ability.
