Erica Brandt, CVT, VTS (ECC): The presentation titled “Shocking Voyage,” we're going to take a deep dive into what shock is and how we can recognize it as technicians from the minute the patient walks in the door, so in a triage scenario, to our patients that we're taking care of on the floor and in the hospital really how to recognize any changes and really understanding the physiology and the path of physiology behind shock. It will help technicians understand and be good team members when it comes to saying, ‘I think this patient needs something from us,’ and really knowing what next steps are while they're having those communications to really help with some of those critical cases.
