Small Door Veterinary has opened a new practice at 229 Alewife Brook Pkwy in Cambridge, Massachusetts, its first new location since merging with Bond Vet in July 2026. The Cambridge clinic brings Small Door’s total Greater Boston footprint to 3 locations, including Brookline and Newton Centre, alongside four Bond Vet practices in Lynnfield, Seaport, Somerville, and Watertown. Together, the 7 clinics have served more than 38,000 pets since the brands launched in the Boston market, according to Small Door.2 Nationally, the combined network spans 59 clinics serving more than 500,000 pets across the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest.2

The Cambridge practice operates on a membership-based model and offers same- or next-day appointments, 24/7 telehealth support, and dedicated care teams. The clinic is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

“Greater Boston has been an important part of both brands’ stories, and we’ve built strong roots in the community over the years,” Florent Peyre, CEO of Small Door Veterinary and Bond Vet, said in an organizational news release.2 “As we grow here, we're focused on becoming even more deeply connected to the people and pets we serve, and this is just the beginning of what we can build together.” The two brands currently continue to operate under their respective names with the same care teams in place.

Meanwhile, CityVet announced the opening of CityVet Harmony at 2927 Riley Fuzzel Road, Suite 400, in Spring, Texas, under the ownership of local veterinarian Emily Murphy, DVM. The practice is CityVet’s fourth in the Houston area and offers wellness care, diagnostics, surgery, chronic disease management, and urgent care. The new clinic also plans to partner with local schools and rescue organizations, including Friends of Faye, in the Spring area.
