Celebrate National Veterinary Technician Week

Article

Teach clients about the excellent care technicians provide pets.

The National Association for Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA) hosts Veterinary Technician Week this week, Oct 12 to 18. The goal of the celebration is to acknowledge the excellent care veterinary technicians provide pets. It's also an important opportunity to educate your clients about what it means to get pet care from a credentialed technician.

Andrea Ball, NAVTA executive director, suggests telling clients something like this: "When you invest in medical treatment for your pet, in return, you should receive the best care possible, and a credentialed veterinary technician helps ensure this happens."

To promote your practice's technicians to clients, consider creating a bulletin board that explains the position. Then include photos of your credentialed technicians, as well as a short biography of each. Download customizable bulletin board templates from the related links below, and be sure to thank your technicians for a job well done.
