Good idea! Based on Coco's results and her clinical signs, you are suspicious of a UTI, so ideally a bacterial culture should be done. While the culture can be done on a free-catch urine sample, bear in mind that it can make it harder to interpret the findings. A cystocentesis sample is a better option for culture and sensitivity testing. You should also again recommend a routine CBC and serum chemistry profile to evaluate Coco for underlying medical problems that may also be predisposing her to a UTI.
