All horses test negative for prohibited substances at World Equestrian Games

Lexington, Ky. — All 721 horses that competed in the 2010 Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games tested negative for banned substances. “Clean sport is one of the FEI’s major goals,” says FEI president HRH Princess Haya. “It is wonderful news that all tests on our equine athletes were negative.”

Staged every four years, the games were held for the first time in the United States at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Ky., Sept. 25 to Oct. 10, and drew more than 500,000 attendees.
