1) Physical examination: to look at clarity, color, urine specific gravity, etc.
2) Chemical examination: to look for presence of glucose, white blood cells, red blood cells, etc.
3) Microscopic examination: to look at bacteria, crystals, etc.
These should be part of every minimum database that every veterinarian performs on a patient during a wellness test.
