-- A formal partnership was announced between PharmaCom BioVet Inc. and the United Kingdom's PetScreen, a company that specializes in early cancer detection in canines.

The partnership aims to improve cancer diagnosis and treatment for dogs, with both companies working under the premise that early detection is key.

They began focusing efforts on canine cancer after executives at both firms lost a pet to cancer.

PetScreen developed new canine cancer detection methods and PharmaCom announced a plan to open cancer treatment centers across the country.
