Jonathan Goodwin, DVM, MS, DACVIM (Cardiology)

Jonathan Goodwin, DVM, MS, DACVIM (Cardiology), received his veterinary degree from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine. He completed his internship in 2000 with an emphasis on internal medicine and cardiology, and then went on to earn a master’s degree in cardiovascular physiology and complete a cardiology residency at Purdue University. He received his board certification in cardiology in 2008.

Goodwin has headed his own private specialty practice and worked for large specialty practices. With his extensive knowledge of cardiology and diagnostic imaging, he has served in positions of authority, including as medical director and consultant to various veterinary medical companies.

He joined Guardian Veterinary Specialists in 2018 and is passionate about making sure his patients are treated with the same care and compassion as his own pets.
