RENO — The Wild West Veterinary Conference (WWVC) is slated for Oct. 11-15 at the Reno Hilton here.
The conference will focus on supporting animal longevity and health with educational sessions and labs.
Better nutrition, advanced medical practices and owner willingness to invest more financially in pets attribute to longer pet lives, conference officials say.
Veterinarians are expected to provide the most advanced medical treatments for their pets, says Stephen Hamilton, WWVC executive director.
Four of the newest veterinary advances will be presented at the conference, including nutrition, health and wellness programs, digital radiography, ultrasound, abdominal radiosurgery, pain control and anesthesia.
