Cathy Meeks, MS, DVM, DACVIM: These parasites are ever evolving. So they're creating resistance to what we commonly would treat with. And so that's making them more hardy, either that's making them last longer and live longer. So I do think that there's a quite a bit of reasons why we're seeing an increase in parasites, but unfortunately, the resistance to the dewormers is playing a big role in that as well.
