Conferences | Atlantic Coast Veterinary Conference (ACVC)

During a recent dvm360® interview, seasoned veterinary technician Kirsten Oliver discussed a few different conditions that can be treated with rehabilitation.

At the recent 2021 Atlantic Coast Veterinary Conference (ACVC), Kirsten Oliver, VN, DipAVN (Surgical), CVT, CCRP, CVPP, VTS (Physical Rehabilitation) highlighted several medical and nonmedical conditions that can be treated through rehabilitation, plus shares the benefits of utilizing this approach.

View the video below for the entire discussion. The following is a partial transcript:

Kirsten Oliver, VN, DipAVN (Surgical), CVT, CCRP, CVPP, VTS (Physical Rehabilitation): There is very limited scope to what we can't treat. We do treat oncology patients just to help with their mobility while they undergo certain types of chemo or radiation or after amputation. So there is an awful lot of what we can treat [such as] postsurgical, presurgical, weight loss, [and] neurologic conditions.
