According to an organizational release,3 Suveto, a company committed to veterinary practice ownership and well-being, teamed up with NOMV, a nonprofit working to offer well-being resources to all members of the veterinary community. The organizations created an engaging, motivating fundraising challenge that spotlights key contributors to mental health and well-being.

“Our commitment to veterinarians goes far beyond our business mission of advancing and supporting veterinary ownership. Unfortunately, the profession is at severe risk when it comes to mental health and well-being, so we put extra emphasis on helping our teams achieve a healthy, balanced life,” said Suveto president Courtney Post, in the release. “We have the utmost respect for NOMV and their mission. We know that through our partnership and this Challenge we can make a difference in veterinary health professionals’ lives together.

Participants can complete challenges in 1 or more of the 3 well-being categories: Physical, Emotional, and Social. Recommended activities are those proven to promote positive mental health and include walking or hiking, biking, journaling, gardening, mentoring, volunteering, and more. For each activity participants choose, Suveto will donate to NOMV until its goal of $10,000 is achieved. To participate, those interested must download the AtlasGO mobile app, use code vettogether23, and make a profile.

"At NOMV we envision a veterinary profession that honors and elevates sustainable wellbeing. Through our eight programs we provide peer support, resources, and outreach and awareness services to veterinary professionals around the world," said Darlene Bos, executive director of NOMV, in the release. "We are proud to partner with Suveto to raise funds for our impactful programs and help to ensure that our message reaches those in our community who need help."

Last year, which was first year of the challenge, 308 participants in Suveto’s Let’s Move program logged a total of 7,000  activities to benefit NOMV’s mission, raising $11,800. Suveto presented a check to NOMV at the 2022 American Veterinary Medical Association Convention in Philadelphia.3
