Presenter: Melinda D. Merck, DVMThis lecture will discuss in great detail the development of the Forensic Report for cruelty cases including legal issues and common mistakes made by the veterinarian. They will learn how to prepare for court and any type of testimony including depositions and trials. The veterinarians and staff will learn about different ways to learn and gain valuable case experience working with human forensic experts and cruelty investigators. Case outcomes will be discussed and the variety of factors beyond the veterinarians expertise that can affect the outcome.This the final session of a three-part series. Attending all three sessions is not required but, for your convenience, you only need to register once.
