The patient in respiratory distress is an urgent and critical patient, that requires not only a sound therapeutic approach to save the patients life, but a sound and appropriate diagnostic approach to determine and subsequently manage the underlying cause. Over the 4-weeks of this course, we will review the diagnostic and therapeutic approach to the patient in respiratory distress from pharyngeal obstruction to diaphragmatic hernia; laryngeal paralysis to flail chest and lots in-between!
