The AKC Canine Health Foundation (CHF) announced Purina’s Parent Club Partnership (PPCP) Program donated funds to support CHF funded canine health research. According to an organizational release, the PPCP Program has provided over $8.8 million for breed rescue, canine health research, and educational efforts to help positively impact the health and well-being of canines.

"Purina is a valued partner in CHF's work to advance the health of all dogs," said Charles Garvin, MD, FACS, chairman of the CHF Board of Directors, in the release.1 "The PPCP Program allows dog owners to participate in our mission. Working together, we can have an even greater impact on the health of current and future generations of our beloved dogs."

According to the release,1 PPCP allows Purina Pro Club members to earn Purina Points when they purchase qualifying Purina pet foods and submit proof of purchase. An additional donation from Purina is shared between Purina Pro Club members' dedicated parent breed club and its Donor Advised Fund at the AKC Canine Foundation resulting in over $95,700 donated toward CHF-funded canine health research.

"We are proud to continue supporting the PPCP Program so that we can help provide a healthy future for all dogs," expressed Scott Smith, managing director at Purina and CHF board member. "The program's success is a testament to the shared goals and collaborative efforts with CHF through PPCP and CHF-funded research."
