Protection for blood-typing cards

"After the cards dry, we put a couple pieces of clear packing tape over the front of the card," says Jeremy Gerhard, LVT, CVT, at Michigan Veterinary Specialists in Southfield, Mich. "Just fold over the edges or trim them off, and you have the equivalent of a laminated cover. You can read the cards for future reference, and the dried blood won't flake off in the medical record."
