Practice tip: An alternate use for 1ml syringes

This practice uses the syringes to hold endotracheal tubes instead of gauze.

We make endotracheal tube ties from old IV lines and the bottom end of 1 ml syringes. No more untying slimy, soggy gauze! I use the bottom end of a 1 ml syringe for the piece that tightens around the tube, and the one section up on the syringe for the piece that tightens around the patient.
