Pop quiz: How should a technician respond when a doctor gossips?

While in surgery with an associate, the doctor starts complaining about how another technician works with her in surgery. What should you do?

a. Remind her that you're doing your best for her, but she'll need to talk with the other technician to discuss how they can work together more efficiently.

b. Tell her of a funny mistake the technician made yesterday during an exam.

c. Say nothing to the doctor, but later tell the technician that the doctor was complaining about her.
