In the March print edition of DVM Newsmagazine, we will take a close look at euthanasia trends across the country as a part of our 2009 State of the Profession series.

This year's study indicates that more clients are asking that their pets be euthanized because they can no longer afford to keep them, and stop-treatment points are on the decline.
Is this the case in your practice? How does your practice handle requests to put healthy pets down when their owners just can't afford to keep them? Do you offer any assistance for clients whose stop-treatment points are at the minimum?
