Photo package: Veterinarians combat the oil in the Gulf (part 2, large)


The explosion on BP's Deepwater Horizon killed 11 people on April 20 and mushroomed into the greatest man-made natural disaster in U.S. history.


On June 8, skimmers recovered 15.86 million gallons of oily water and nearly 3.58 million gallons of oil has been burned in 131 in-situ burns. This photo depicts the Deepwater Horizon spill site.
