Angel pins
Team members at the Stanglein Veterinary Clinic in Northampton, Pa., attach angel pins to critical patients' kennels, along with a note explaining the gift. "It's our hope these angels will offer support and strength to the animals during their hospitalization," says veterinary assistant JoAnn Nemeth. "Then we give the pin and note to the owner when the animal is discharged or in the event of death. By doing this, we're not only reaching out to the animals but also contributing to a good cause by purchasing the pins through the Angel 34 Foundation, a local not-for-profit benefiting the fight against childhood cancer."
