ST. JOSEPH, MO. — Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica, Inc. announces it has received Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval for the use of Metacam (meloxicam) injection in felines. The product is labeled for a one-time subcutaneous injection at a dose of .14 mg/pound for the control of postoperative pain and inflammation associated with orthopedic surgery, spaying and neutering.
