This 3-week course addresses medical record-keeping topics including elements of a complete medical record, standard medical abbreviations, functions and benefits of the SOAP format, compliance issues related to medical records, designing and implementing a medical record audit system, how to purge and properly dispose of medical records, electronic record-keeping, and developing consent forms tailored to a specific practice. (10 CE credits)
