Analysis of veterinary market data shows the toughest competitive factors, the most popular marketing strategies, and the move to online marketing solutions.

Not surprisingly, 72 percent of practices have a Web site, according to the 2009 Veterinary Economics State of the Industry Study. Of those practices, only 22 percent let clients schedule appointments online. And 31 percent give clients an option to purchase products from their site.
