Keep clients from wiping out on the Web

Dr. Doug Clarke at Pet Veterinary Clinic in Grandville, Mich., says it used to send chills up his spine when clients said they'd been looking up medical information on the Internet. "There's no way to make sure everyone on the Web is giving out good information," says Dr. Clarke. But he found a solution that helps his clients surf safely. "Rather than fight the disinformation explosion, we compiled a list of reputable veterinary and pet-health-related Web sites. We put it on our letterhead and hand out copies to any interested clients," he says.
