For the past two years, our hospital has decorated a Christmas tree in honor of our patients that have passed away during the year. We decorate the ornaments ourselves and include a photograph of each pet—finding a photo is not difficult because we take pictures of every patient. We then invite all of our clients who have an ornament on the memorial tree to an open house where we serve refreshments and give them their ornaments. It is a small way to show clients how much we care about their pets.
