April Bays, CVT, VTS (ECC) joins this episode of The Vet Blast Podcast to talk about how veterinary technicians can be better utilized. Due to increased workloads and staffing shortages, Bays make the case that practices need to get the most of their technicians, now more than ever.

Below is a partial transcript. Listen to the full podcast for more.

April Bays, CVT, VTS (ECC): We have a model that, unfortunately, teaches veterinarians that they need to do everything themselves. You may or may not have a technician around, so you need to learn how to do all this yourself. Now you're in practice, you're still doing everything yourself, and it's a waste of everybody's time...it affects everybody.
