Student loan rates are at historic lows, says Veterinary Economics Personal Finance Editor Fritz Wood, CPA, CFP, but not for long. Wood says recent and soon-to-be graduates should act now to consolidate their student loans. If they don't, their interest rates are likely to rise at least 1.5 percent on July 1. Wood says locking in the current, lower interest rate could save this spring's newly minted veterinarians $55 million in interest payments, collectively.
