This online course provides instruction on fecal sample collection, preparation, and ova identification; compares centrifugation techniques and traditional float methods; and demonstrates the proper procedure for centrifuging fecal samples. Additionally, there is a separate chapter on diagnosing Giardia because of the difficulty in detecting the parasite. (2 CE credits)
