Dechra teams up with Bioiberica

December 21, 2021
dvm360 Staff

This alliance will promote the company's range of dermatology products for treating companion animals within the United States.

Dechra has announced a partnership with Bioiberica—a global Life Science company dedicated to improving the health and well-being of people, animals and plants—for the license and distribution of its Atopivet line of canine and feline dermatology products in the United States.

According to a company release, this collaboration supports Dechra’s current dermatology range and includes the products Atopivet Collar, Atopivet Spot-On, and Atopivet Mousse.

“The Atopivet range of dermatology products strengthens Dechra’s popular dermatology product line by offering several unique alternatives to multi-modal dermatology therapy," said Mike Eldred, president of Dechra North America, in the release.

According to Alfonso Velasco, companion animal director at Bioiberica, canine dermatological problems are 1 of the top reasons for veterinary visits, and the company is thrilled to partner with Dechra to offer their Atopivet range to the US.

"We’re already looking ahead to how our collaboration can continue delivering new and innovative approaches to dermatology therapy, supporting the health and quality of life of pets across the region," added Alfonso Velasco, companion animal director at Bioiberica, in the release.

The Atopivet range will be available in the US in early 2022. Learn more at www.dechra-us.com.
