Client handout: Your pet needs your help

Help veterinary clients 'see' when their pets are overweight in order to get patients to a healthier weight.

It may not surprise you that nine out of 10 owners of overweight pets don't recognize their pets' weight as unhealthy. And, according to the Association for Pet Obesity Prevention (APOP) more than half of all dogs and cats in the U.S. are overweight. So, use this handout to prompt the question most of your clients won't ask: "Is my pet overweight?"
