One-day CE conference spotlighting non-clinical side of veterinary medicine
Bond Vet has announced the debut of its first-ever More Than Medicine conference, a 1-day continuing education (CE) conference (pending RACE approval) that focuses on non-medical topics in the veterinary business, from leadership and diversity to innovation and finance. It will be hosted in New York City at Club 135 in Midtown on June 23, 2023.
According to a company release,1 Bond Vet aims to create sustainable veterinary careers, and More Than Medicine is an extension of this approach. This conference teaches veterinarians soft skills and “life skills” that are key to success in the veterinary business and inspires doctors to take a more active role in their practice.
“I’ve always believed we need to do more to equip doctors with strong leadership skills — they are inherent leaders in the clinic, but haven’t always been taught the leadership lessons that will bolster their success, team culture and the bottom line,” stated Zay Satchu, DVM, co-founder and chief veterinary officer of Bond Vet, in the release.1 “As part of our efforts to build more sustainable veterinary careers, I believe More Than Medicine is a huge opportunity for new and veteran doctors alike.”
More Than Medicine prepares veterinarians to navigate charged conversations, bias in the workplace, P&Ls, KPIs and brand-building, with breakout sessions and keynotes on finance, diversity, equity, and inclusion, technology, and communication. Confirmed speakers are Chip Madera, discussing leadership in healthcare, and the Get MotiVETed team’s Renee Machel & Quincy Hawley, DVM, on The Veterinary Wellbeing Choice: How to Prioritize, Cultivate, and Maintain Wellbeing.
