For most patients, and some clients, coming to the veterinary clinic can be a stressful time. However, for Jennifer Remnes, DVM, and Jessica Trice, DVM, when they were designing their new veterinary clinic, Vetique, both women wanted to create a comfortable and "spa-like" experience for clients and patients.

Equipped with a wine bar, lavender neck warmers, a toy chest for pets in the lobby, and more, the duo joins The Vet Blast Podcast to explain why they added these features to the clinic, and what they hope the future of Vetique will look like.

Below is a partial transcript. Listen to the full podcast for more.

Jessica Trice, DVM: The idea that came from how people are stressed out. I mean, their pets are sick, they're stressed or the pets are stressed. All you cat owners, you know how it is. It takes [pet owners] 20 minutes to get [their cat] into a cat carrier and they're already late for their appointments. So they're already stressed. So when they come to our clinic, you get this nice smell of the hotel collection ambiance that we have here, have some wine, sit back and relax. For your dogs, we have toys for them to play with, make it very, very easy and comfortable for them. And then we go ahead and see them.
