Dean A. Hendrickson, DVM, MS, DACVS

Dr. Hendrickson, joined the equine surgery faculty at Colorado State University as an assistant professor in December 1994. He received his DVM from Colorado State University in 1988, and then completed an equine medicine and surgery internship at The University of Sydney, Sydney Australia in 1989. Following the internship, he completed a combined residency/master’s program in large animal surgery in 1992 at Cornell University. His research has focused on articular cartilage resurfacing in the horse using free chondrocyte grafts embedded in a fibrin matrix, the development of laparoscopic surgical techniques, and more recently, advanced wound care. Dr. Hendrickson is a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Surgeons.
