A wildlife photographer share more about the feeding platform for the orangutans
Dr Palazzolo has been practicing small animal, wildlife, and exotic animal veterinary medicine in Michigan and California for over 44 years. He graduated from Michigan State University in 1978, and has been practicing in California since 1980. His first California practice was the SunSurf Animal Hospital in Sunset Beach where he instituted the Wildlife Program at that hospital that provided free care for injured wildlife.
He received his MBA from Pepperdine in 1985, and purchased the Long Beach Animal Hospital in 1989. In Long Beach he continued his clinical work and expanded the wildlife care aspect of the practice. Most of his veterinary work as of recent is teaching veterinary students and recent graduates how to open their minds, and apply critical thinking and evidence-based medicine to their careers and personal lives.
He is an avid traveler and wildlife photographer that has visited all 7 continents. His main continent of interest is Africa due to the sheer volume of animals and the predator-prey experience that is unequalled anywhere else. His 11th trip to Africa will be this summer, where in addition to leading several wildlife photography groups, he will be working with local veterinarians that sedate rhino, elephant, cheetah, and lions. Dr P also writes for several veterinary journals on his wildlife photography and conservation experiences around the world.
