Tapeless Wound Care Products announces secondary wound dressings for small animal and equine veterinarians.

The dressings are cost effective, fast to apply/change and well tolerated by animals, the company says.

Dressing holders may be used with all primary wound dressings and feature the absence of latex and adhesives. The product is anatomically designed for specific, difficult-to-dress areas of small animals and horses than the traditional constrictive, adhesive wraps.

The dressing holders are washable and reusable for several applications. A system of hook-and-loop straps, tabs and dots allow for quick, painless and economical dressing changes.

The material is a laminate of polypropylene plastic that feels like cloth, but is stretchable in only one direction, and readily breathes and absorbs fluids, the company adds.

The plastic dressings can be applied to the hock, knee, lower legs, jugular catheters, chest and shoulder/elbow/upper leg for the horse. One size fits all horse breeds and similar dressing holders are available for foals. Different anatomic designs permit wound-dressing securement for the head/ears, hip, shoulder, torso, chest, IVs, front lower leg and paw of small animals.
