Why the Hesitancy to Telemedicine?

Nancy Dewitz, director of sales and marketing and technical consultant for Beyond Indigo Pets, talks about why there may be a hesitancy to telemedicine among veterinary practices.

Some veterinary practices are still struggling with how to be paperless, Dewitz says, so telemedicine may seem like a lot to handle. There's a huge difference in telemedicine when it comes to human health and veterinary health, though. Clients don’t really need a relationship with their human doctor, Dewitz says, but clients do need that relationship with their veterinarian. So, video will play a huge role in veterinary telemedicine because then at least the veterinarian can see the pet, she says.
