Virbac launches new C.E.T.® Dental Authority Certification Program

November 12, 2021

This new free program will enhance protocols and client education at veterinary practices.

Earlier this week, Virbac launched its new free online C.E.T.® Dental Authority Certification Program in collaboration with Mary L. Berg, BS, RVT, RLATG, VTS (Dentistry), to help veterinary teams learn more about dentistry through this self-paced program.

"I'm so proud of how the C.E.T.® Dental Authority Certification Program came together to be such a robust curriculum for users," said Berg, in an organizational release. "Not only will participants learn more about preventative dental care, but also for communicating with clients to continue this care at home. Tying in-clinic and at-home care together, with the client relationship at the center, is crucial for maintaining the pet's oral health."

The program aims to educate veterinary professionals on the importance of preventative dental care and emphasize the benefits of comprehensive dental protocols. Along with educating veterinary professionals, the program also provides tips on teaching clients about their pet’s dental health.

“We partnered with Dr Mary L. Berg as she is not only an expert and key contributor in the education of dental wellness for pets but is also instrumental in educating clinics on the best practices to support their patients,'' said Courtney Carney, Director of Marketing Virbac Corporation, USA.

“We see this program as an opportunity to educate veterinary professionals and their healthcare teams, while also giving back to our customers and ensuring they have the best care and products possible.”

Once completed, participants receive an official program certificate, a lapel pin, and a clinic kit that has client and clinic education resources.
