VHMA issues earned certifications to veterinary practice managers

The Veterinary Hospital Managers Association (VHMA)announced that 11 veterinary management professionals recently earned the organization’s certified veterinary practice manager (CVPM) credential.

The VHMA is a national organization that provides training, education, and resources to more than 4200members. It is recognized in the industry as a trusted resource that the veterinary sector relies on for industry insights, research, and advocacy to assure performance at the highest levels, according to the Florida-based organization.

VHMA’s voluntary credential is recognized as a sign of professional achievement and excellence, according to the organization. It is awarded to practice management professionals who demonstrate the knowledge and experience needed to successfully manage the evolving operations of today's veterinary practices.

The CVPM credential is recognized and respected by practice leaders and others in the veterinary industry, according to the VHMA. Prior to sitting for the CVPM exam, applicants are required to meet practice management experience requirements and demonstrate that they have earned sufficient formal education and continuing education credits. The rigorous CVPM exam tests relevant management knowledge in human resources, law, and ethics, marketing, organization of the practice,and finance.
