Jorgensen Laboratories introduces TonoVet® tonometer.
The TonoVet displays new technology called rebound tonometry to measure intraocular pressure for glaucoma screening. The portable hand-held unit is held off of the patient's eye. At the push of a button, a tiny probe rapidly and painlessly reaches out and touches the cornea, the company says.

Six rapid measurements are then taken and the resulting value is displayed. No topical anesthetic is required, the company adds.
