If you can identify early signs of stress in your veterinary patients, your job just got easier.

Interviewed by our practitioner in the trenches, Dr. Sarah Wooten, veterinary behaviorist Melissa Bain, DVM, DACVB, DACAW, MS, says for successful outcomes in separation anxiety cases it's important to catch stress-induced behavior early on, know what you're dealing with and don't be too proud to refer.

Identify early

– Ask the questions of every client at every appointment in order to catch early signs of stress for easier behavior modification.

Get video

- Video from the pet's home environment is essential to differentiate between different types of anxiety.

Refer
