Talking to Pet Owners About Pet Obesity

The first thing to help them recognize is that obesity is a multifactorial disease process. You want to make sure you don't blame them for their pet's weight. You also want to make sure you talk to them extensively about the benefits of weight loss and be active in helping give their pet a better quality of life.
