May 24, 2016

We asked veterinarians about pet owners' attitudes and their approach to three specific pet health topics: dental care, cranial cruciate ligament repair, and behavior. Here's what they said.

Survey says ... the service spectrum of veterinary care can vary wildly. We asked nearly 300 veterinarians to explain their thoughts on pet care in three specific areas: dental care, cranial cruciate ligament repair and behavior. We also asked some overarching questions about the changes veterinarians are seeing to overall pet ownership. Here are the survey results in full.

The dvm360 Clinical Updates: Spectrum of Care study was sent by email to subscribers of dvm360 magazine, Vetted and Firstline. The survey generated 333 responses, creating a margin of error of about 3 percentage points (although sample sizes-and statistical reliability-on individual questions may be considerably lower). Numbers may not equal 100% due to rounding. Respondents were offered a free set of dvm360.com's most popular client handouts of 2016.
