Rotation skin flaps: Step 3A (large photo)

When the flap will transpose into its new location without excessive tension, place a half-buried horizontal mattress suture at the flap's tip by using 3-0 monofilament nonabsorbable suture (e.g. polypropylene or nylon). This placement helps ensure the tip's blood supply.
