When stress drags down team members at Ontario Veterinary Hospital in Ontario, they pull themselves up with pull-ups. Whether it's a client who fails to comply with care recommendations or a rush of no-shows that wrecks the schedule, doctors and team members retreat to the kennel and do pull-ups on the overhead bar. They even compete to see who can do more repetitions. "Since most of us can't do any, we have a good laugh and go back to work," says Therese Holmes, the office manager.
