Mobile, Ala.-Since Jan. 1, thieves have targeted several Baldwin Countyveterinary clinics in search of drugs, namely ketamine.

Police suspect an 18-year-old male in at least four veterinary theftcases here.

New Orleans-In June, burglars broke into the Animal Medical Clinic andstole four bottles of ketamine mixed with two other tranquilizers, makingit a far more potent and potentially lethal drug, police say.

Lakewood, Colo.-Three teenagers were arrested June 7 in connection witheight veterinary clinic break-ins and ketamine theft. They face first-degreeburglary charges.

Baltimore-Two 18-year-olds were charged Aug. 16 with several counts ofbreaking and entering in connection with the alleged five-time burglaryof the Columbia Animal Hospital in March. Along with ketamine, cash, morphineand other drugs were stolen, and the thefts were caught on tape.
